Ms Caressa Cameron from Virginia won the 2010 Miss America title on Saturday night, by belting Beyonce's song Listen and telling parents to combat childhood obesity by curbing television and video games.

The 22-year-old broadcast journalism student beat 53 hopefuls to win a US$50,000 ($70,000) scholarship. In her interview segment, she urged children to "expand your mind, go outside and get to see what this world is like".

She credited her win to family strength. "You can be anything that you want to be, even Miss America," she said. AP

Did you watch the VMA's last night? I thought it was a great show, but I couldn't believe that Kanye got up on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech. Everyone always expects something unexpected to happen at the VMA's (it's like a tradition), but Kanye saying that Beyonce should have won the award over Taylor was totally not cool. She deserved it and she shouldn't have had her moment taken away from her like that. When Beyonce gave her acceptance speech at the end of the night for her Video of the Year award, I was really happy to see her call Taylor back on stage—it was a classy move.

The whole show had a lot of memorable moments: Pink's performance was amazing, and the Michael Jackson tribute was an iconic MTV moment. I enjoyed the show a lot. What about you? Let me know your thoughts!

Happy New Moon Opening Day! I've already gotten so much feedback from you about the movie. It's great hearing what you guys think, and the reviews are so far so good. Some Seventeen editors even went to the midnight show together and the theater was filled with squeals and claps throughout the movie (ps- thanks for tweeting to us during the show! It's always fun talking to you guys!) Things the Seventeen staff and I love most about this movie: 1.) Taylor has gotten so buff! And he takes his shirt off a lot throughout the film :) 2.) Kristen's performance is great and she looks beautiful throughout the movie— even after the cliff scene! 3.) Rob. 4.) The last line in the movie. With the golden ringlets (they're back!), shiny shoes and embellished Jenny Packham slip dress, Taylor Swift's a metal mama at Z100's Jingle Ball in New York City. But hey, it's been the best year ever for this country singer and her ensemble is cute—if a little predictable—so if Tay wants to literally look like a golden girl, then that's cool with us.

Hot damn, Mariah Carey goes from ugly duckling to fabulous diva at the Capri film fest. She is smoking-hot in a not-too-body-hugging burgundy sequin halter gown, marabou stole and luscious wavy locks. This doesn't mean she's off the hook for yesterday—she could've been 2 for 2 instead of 1 for 2! Obvi she can kill it on the carpet when she wants to. We just wish she wanted to all the time.
